Back <

Day 1: After many, many flight delays, including one that caused us to have a layover in Amsterdam instead of a direct flight to Athens, we FINALLY arrived! My girl flew for 24 hours straight! And I was originally worried about 11 😮‍💨 And she handled them like a champ. No complaining, even having a blister and a bad cold. She’s one tough cookie! After getting to our hotel, we grabbed a quick bite to eat, saw (and got to pet) a kitty, and passed out, ready to explore Athens tomorrow! 🇬🇷

Day 2: Today we explored the Acropolis where we were able to see the Parthenon, dating back to 400 BC. We then walked over to the War Museum and got to see the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier! 🇬🇷

Day 3: Sparta! We got our rental car today and drove over to the Corinth Canal and Sparta to see the Statue and Tomb of Leonidas!

Day 4: Today we climbed the ginormous hill in Delphi where the ancient Oracle would have lived. Almost 1 mile up, rocky terrain, carrying a 4 year old, but totally worth it to see the Stadium of Delphi and spectacular views of Delphi. Then on to Thermopylae to see the Monument to Leonidas and the Spartan burial mound. 🇬🇷

Day 5: Our last day in Athens! 🧿 We drove over to the beautiful coastline on the Athenian Rivera to see the Temple of Poseidon. 🏛Then we had a relaxing day around Athens checking out the Holocaust Memorial and shopping. Looking forward to the cruise tomorrow! 🇬🇷🛳

Day 6: We’ve discovered my girl loves a balcony as much as her mama. My little mini me 💕 Next stop, Turkey! 🇹🇷

Day 7: We’ve officially pet all of the kitties of Kusadasi and the ancient city of Ephesus 🏛🐈‍⬛ And we’ve officially been on the Asian continent now! 🌏

Day 8: Turkey is a wrap! 🇹🇷 The Blue Mosque 🕌 and Hagia Sophia 🕌 in Istanbul were some beautiful and very cultural sights to see. And of course we saw kitties!!😻 Finished off our time in port with some Turkish tea, strawberry cake and baklava 🍰 Next stop, Volos for some beach time! 🇬🇷🏖

Day 9: Beach day in Volos! 🏖 My girl and I always find adventures; we walked out onto the rock jetty and even got to see yellow jellyfish everywhere! 🇬🇷

Day 10: The orange kitty that climbed into my lap, made biscuits and gave me kisses was my favorite part of Mykonos 😻🇬🇷 The views and ocean were kinda nice too 😜🌊

Day 11: 🧿My beautiful babygirl, your smile lights up the world! 🇬🇷 Rhodes was full of quaint shops and the historic palace of the Grandmaster of the Knights of Saint John. We also got to see where the believed Colossus of Rhodes stood, one of the ancient wonders of the world.

Day 12: Santorini, I’m in love 🥰 By far my favorite place of the trip. It was BEAUTIFUL; I only wish we could have been here longer and gone in the water 🤿🇬🇷
